“When it comes to getting acting roles, I cannot compare myself to a white girl. If I did, I’d probably die. I rarely get work by auditioning. It’s very difficult to get into the rooms. I went through a really depressed period, where I had no access. The things that have come up for me have been as a result of being seen in Canadian films or short films or onstage.”

Not only was this an Asian character with a strong personality, this was an Asian woman that was a force to be reckoned with.”
